Whitby

I picked up a little Yashica AF-J point & shoot camera and tested it on a day out in Whitby and the surrounding area. I'm pretty impressed with it, and it's nice to have something that I can whip out my pocket and take a shot with quickly. I love the Mamiya and it'll always be my favourite, but there's nothing quick about it.

So these were taken in Whitby, Runswick Bay and the little hamlets in between. I used Kodak Color Plus film.

Exploring the Lakes

A road trip through the Lakes and an overnight stay in a wooden pod in the middle of nowhere. Luckily it was incredibly well insulated so nobody died of cold during the night, which is always good. We spent the next day exploring Windermere and Keswick and some random spots in between.

Blyth Battery & Beach

Blyth Battery is a group of old coastal defence buildings that just happen to have the best colour palette ever. Back in my 'fashion' photography days I shot many a portraits & lookbook stuff here. It's the ideal minimalist backdrop.
