Camasunary Bay
There’s something really pleasing to the eye about mountains on grainy black and white film. Honestly, I could have shot a hundred landscapes on this walk and not get bored of them. Wild and windy, we persevered over the hill to get a view of the bothy far below us on the beach. If we hadn’t have been on a time limit, I would have LOVED to photograph the bothy, but to be honest, I’d rather do it on medium format (which I didn’t have with me that day) so I wasn’t too gutted about having to turn around. The grainy mountain shots are enough for me. For now.
Bike Cam
So it turns out, a 35mm point & shoot is the ideal film camera to take on bike rides. Tucked into a snack pouch on the handlebars, you can whip it out in an instant. This roll came with me on uphill gravel tracks through monstrous wind farms, and along quiet old disused roads with sunsets and hills in the distance.
A Night in the Volvo
This roll has been with me so long that it had a few shots from our night camping in Gairloch on it. I shot a roll of medium format on this trip too, which I’ve already shared. You can find it here.
