Two Weddings

I recently booked a Saturday off work. This is a major thing for somebody who works full time in retail. Saturdays are golden. This meant I got to visit Tynemouth market on a day other than a Sunday and I have to admit, it is much better. There’s more of a vintage, flea market vibe, and I was lucky enough to find a few boxes of slides hidden amongst some bits and bobs. Alongside a trip to Kasbah’s furniture market to rummage around in some boxes, I got a good haul that day. Funnily enough, the two best sets of photos were both weddings. Personally, I think the lady in the pink coat stole the show.

Back to Otterburn

We all know I love abandoned places. My favourite one is probably Otterburn Hall in Northumberland. A derelict hotel and it’s grounds out in the countryside. It’s a peaceful, interesting place to walk the dog on a quiet Sunday. We go here regularly and I posted some photos last year (here and here) but I thought I’d take some more as there’s been a few changes, and the last ones we’re taken while everything was frozen. The conservatory is looking a little worse for wear, but it does look as though some building work is happening in the original building. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with the place.

Also, one of the houses on the outskirts of the grounds has also become empty. I can’t imagine why nobody would want to live here. I’d genuinely love to live in such a rural spot.
