Bad Surprises

A few shots from a dodgy batch of Portra I shot last week. I got through 3 rolls of 5 when I realised pretty much nothing was usable, and didn't want to use the rest of the box incase any good stuff was lost. I've been in touch with Kodak and they're sending me a replacement pack so we're all good. It hasn't put me off, the good surprises outweigh the bad surprises when it comes to shooting film.

The main problem with these was the huge blue vignette on the top and bottom of every shot. Realistically I probably could have saved a few shots by cropping it out but all the colours were washed out too and just wouldn't have felt right alongside my other stuff. I'm all about consistency and colour.

Pastels & a Prosthetic Leg

I usually only shoot Portra. I've just always loved it and like everything to be very consistent with my shots. However, I put an emergency roll of Kodak Color Plus through the OM10 yesterday and I'm actually a little surprised at how nice and pastel the colours came out. It's half the price of the Portra too.... Very tempting.

These were shot in Amble, Craster and Cullercoats beach. Can't beat a good day out along the coast.

Brunswick Yard

A salvage yard and cafe in Penrith filled with all sorts of glorious vintage bits. The cafe is currently being renovated but they've created a cosy pop up seating area in the barn. Think we'll head back here again at some point, it's definitely the sort of place you can visit over and over again.
